| Grey's Paper Recycling |
|
Grey's Paper Recycling Industries is a paper and glass recycling plant that is currently in the final stage of construction. It is located in Edmonton, Alberta. The eco-friendly plant will be the first one in the world of this type.
This 60,000 sq. ft. plant will consist of two highly energy-efficient Monolithic Domes. Built with R60 insulation it will use solar sun pipes for most of its lighting and will incorporate both solar power and methane energy from waste materials for its heating.
Sitting on 7 acres in the Clover Bar Waste Management Centre, the complex will include a 50,000 sq. ft. dome housing the paper recycling plant (252 ft. in diameter and 84 ft. high - making it one of the very largest in the world of its type.); plus a second dome for glass recycling (10,000 sq. ft, 110 ft in diameter and 54 ft high). These domes will be connected by the cylindrical office block 80 ft long and 45 ft in diameter.
